Florida, finally!

Hey everyone!

We finally arrived safe in Hudson, FL after a 20-hour straight shot that began sometime around 2 AM on Tuesday.  The trip was rather safe and uneventful, and mom will be glad to know that we haven’t jumped off any bridges yet (though I did hang out the window over the highway while going 75 mph to pass our CD to the driver of a bus carrying a youth group).  Needless to say, we were pumped to get out of the van and walk around.

We headed down to the beach with a guitar in tow and played an acoustic rendition of “Liars & Thieves” while passing out some flyers.  We also met an awesome homeless dude named James, and I laid down a nice blues riff while James showed us all how it was done.  Hopefully we’ll see him again at the show tonight, or on Thursday (we’re playing twice in Hudson).  The schedule on our website is a little bit off, so I’m going to try to get the correct dates and cities and plug them in ASAP in case anyone wants to try to catch a show.

That’s gonna have to do it for now, as the only building here with internet is also like 400 degrees, and I’m pretty sure the gallon of sweat currently flowing into my keyboard isn’t good for the computer.  See you guys later!

We're called Good Luck Varsity. We love each other, we love what we do, and we love the people who come out to our shows. We believe that the 3 feet of stage we stand on makes us a little taller than you, but it does not make us rockstars, nor does it make those of you standing on the floor inferior - we're all in this together. We are truly humbled and encouraged by every person who downloads our music, buys a t-shirt, or passes along some kind words of encouragement. Beyond all else, we are so thankful for each and every opportunity to do what we love, and we hope the evidence of that fact pours out of us every time we step on the stage.
